Unheard by Nathanael O'Reilly

Immigrants suffocating

in an abandoned

Hanjin shipping container

cooking in the midday sun

at a remote rest area

beside a first-world highway

beat on the steel walls

and shout desperately

in their native tongue

but they are too far away

from the restrooms

and vending machines
